Q: Do your products contain nanoparticles?
A: I do not use micronized ingredients in my mineral makeup products so they do
not contain nanoparticles.
Q: What is Bismuth Oxychloride?
A: Bismuth Oxychloride is a lab manufactured mineral and is the byproduct in the
refining of lead, copper, tin, silver and gold ores and is combined with salt to
create Bismuth Oxychloride. Bismuth is not naturally found in the earth. It is a
white/pinkish powder with quite a bit of shine. It is also very inexpensive and heavy
making it a popular filler ingredient in mineral makeup products especially those
sold by weight. Since Bismuth is a heavy mineral it requires excessive buffing to
work into the skin which can cause skin irritation especially for sensitive skin.
Bismuth Oxychloride is a known skin irritant which can cause several skin irritations
the most common are red itchy bumps, breakouts and swelling.
Q: Do your products contain Bismuth Oxychloride?
A: SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup products do not contain Bismuth Oxychloride.
Q: Where is your mineral makeup made?
A: SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup products are proudly made in the USA and I
make each product myself.
Q: Why do you sell your makeup in teaspoons instead of grams?
A: Minerals vary in weight and using teaspoons as a measurement gives you more
product for your money. You also get the same amount of each product and you
know exactly how much of the product you are getting. Most mineral makeup
companies add heavy fillers and use heavy minerals so their products weigh more
giving you less minerals when sold by weight.
Q: Why is your mineral makeup so different than other mineral makeup
brands I have tried?
A: I use only premium uncoated all natural chemical free ingredients in all my
products. I make each product using my own original formulations making my
product different from other mineral makeup brands on the market.
Most mineral makeup companies buy their products pre-made in bulk from large
factories usually in China using the least expensive ingredients. The pre-made
mineral products are packaged and sold under several different brands which is
why most mineral makeup products are all the same.
Q: What is the SPF of your mineral makeup?
A: I sell my mineral makeup as a cosmetic product not as a sunscreen. My
foundation formulations and concealers contain titanium dioxide and zinc oxide
which naturally provide sunscreen protection. SunCat foundations and concealers
provide sunscreen protection in the upper 20's. SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup
does not claim a specific SPF for any product.
Q: What is the finish to your makeup is it matte, does it have shine, does
it give you a glow and is it glittery?
A: The finish you get from SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup is a soft silky satin
finish giving your face a natural luminosity for a natural healthy look. All three
formulations give your skin a natural healthy luminosity. There is no glitter in any of
my mineral makeup products.
Q: Why don't you have a totally matte foundation?
A: My mineral makeup is all about a natural look and a matte look isn't a natural
look to the face. Natural healthy skin has a radiance to it and applying a matte
foundation is unnatural. Matte formulas tend to look dry, settle into fine lines and
wrinkles, are heavy and chalky, and make the face look flat since they don't reflect
light. The older we get the more radiance we need.
Q: What kind of coverage does your mineral foundation have?
A: SunShine Foundation formulas provide light to full coverage depending on the
number of applications used. Coverage varies depending on the brush used to apply
the minerals, whether you use a moisturizer or not, and the number of applications
used.
Q: Do you wholesale your products or offer them for private labeling?
A: I do not offer my products wholesale, for private labeling or in bulk or for
retail sale. SunCat products are not packaged for resale.
Q: Where are you product sold?
A: SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup products are only sold on my website.
