Ingredients are the most important element in any formulation. SunCat
Natural Mineral Makeup uses only the finest premium cosmetic grade
ingredients. They are uncoated and untreated and are not micronized and do
not contain nanoparticles. By using only the finest pure premium ingredients I

Particle size in mineral makeup is very important. There have been concerns over
micronized nanoparticles in mineral makeup products and sunscreens. SunCat
Natural Mineral Makeup does not use micronized nanoparticles of Titanium
Dioxide, Zinc Oxide or any other ingredient. Nanoparticles are usually defined as
anything less then 100 nanometers. A nanometer is 1/1000 of 1 micron. Most
micronized minerals are about 15 nanometers. SunCat Natural Mineral Makeup
products have an average particle size of 12 microns. These concerns about
nanoparticles have raised the Skin Deep rating in products, especially loose mineral
products, that contain Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide even if they do not contain
nanoparticles.
